Fair question, and a low quote with no explanation is a genuine red flag when hiring anyone. Here is the explanation. The $149 clone is deliberately narrow: one page, rebuilt from a reference that already exists, into a theme you already have. We are not designing from scratch, not doing discovery, and not writing copy, because the expensive part of a page is deciding what goes where, and on a clone somebody already paid to work that out. Anything outside that scope gets quoted separately and we tell you before starting, not after.

Because we build in native theme code rather than inside an app, there is also less to break: nothing disappears because a subscription lapsed or a vendor changed their plans.
